I've said it before, I am a total sucker for the iPod. I'm in hook line and sinker. It's not that I'm playing better music than when I just had a cruddy cd walkman, it's that it fits in my coat pocket, doesn't skip, and there aren't any pieces to break off.
When walking, like I said, the world now has a soundtrack. And if I'm in a hurry, a faster song gets me there on time. Perfect.
Better is on the bus. A guy at work getting off the same bus says to me, in a horrible mood, that after a couple years of this commute I must be going insane. But I took out one of my earbuds and could only shrug. It's not just the headphones, it's the book too. A wall of sound and imagination and I don't give a crap that the 12 year old homeboys are talking about scoring crank. I don't get all annoyed at the lady yammering her head off in spanish two seats over either. The only thing that still gets me are the smells. One day I'll find a cure for that too and then my bubble of pleasantness will be complete.
Dear Clothing Manufacturers Worldwide,
Shelf bras suck. Please stop putting them in small stretchy camisoles.
