Back to My Youth

The first in a series of two 'dad's lap' photo's.

In this one, you can see my ever popular "Hee Haw" over-alls. Everybody who was anybody had them. At least my cousins and I had them... and when you're three and a half, that's really everybody. You can also see my dad's really nice tie, and that magazine with a fish on the cover. COOL.

That's what my brother looked like then. He got cuter later, then a little less cute, then more, then less, and now it doesn't really matter how cute he is, cause frankly he's my brother, and I really don't care all that much what he looks like. (Though he thinks he's pretty cute, and no doubt his girlfriend does too.)

Sitting on dad's lap was a favorite pastime at our house. Right up there with eating T.V. dinners on T.V. trays in front of the T.V screen. There was this covetted place on the couch for these T.V. fests, and if you got it... you felt like the supreme being. (It had the best view.)
